6.      BRIEF REVIEW OF 2021 SBFG ORGANIZATIONAL ACTIVITIES:

--Summer picnic at Dottie's place.  It was a good turnout.  The food was wonderful and everyone had a great time.  No one took Dottie up on swimming in the pool.  Maybe next year.  Brian Marl won the Roster.  He needs to tell us what good luck happened to him and bring a bottle of wine to this event next year.

--Fall Fling @ Holy Faith Church.  We had a small group but were still able to engage in wonderful conversations with many.  It was an enjoyable evening and of course the food was great.

7.       POSSIBLE 2022 EVENTS:

--Brecon Night Dinner at a restaurant – Discussion: to wait until we see how the spread of Covid will go.

A decision will be left up to the board at their future meetings.  Suggestion is that if there is a Celtic Festival to have the Brecon Night at this time.

–Celtic Festival – July 8-9, 2022.  An invitation was sent to the City of Brecon by Brian Marl, our mayor.  An article was written by Arwyn Evans about this and a little history of the friendship/twinning.  Hopefully we will be able to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the festival and share it with our friends from Brecon.

--Summer Picnic – Possibly at Dottie’s.  Looking at August 2022.  If we have the Brecon Night Dinner at the Celtic Festival this event may not happen.

--Fall Fling – Need to discuss with Betsey and to occur in October 2022

--Host Celtic Festival visitors – July 2022, more to come.  The Celtic Festival committee will be meeting to decide if this event is a go.

–Other:  Lucy received an email from Ged Murphy, a resident from Brecon.  He wanted to better understand the friendship/twinning of the two cities.  Jim Roth will be sending him information via snail mail.  Lucy was unsure how he got her email address but our web site has not been updated and she was the last contact for secretary listed.

8.    ELECTION OF 3 BOARD MEMBERS:   A term on the board is 3 years. Renew: Bruce Westlake, Betsey Hubbard & Dick Cunkle—all three have agreed to serve another term.   That term will expire in 2025.  It was voted on and was unanimous to have these three people fill the positions.

9.       QUARTERLY BOARD MEETINGS: April 13, July 13, & October 12, 2022.  Location to be determined.

10.    NEXT ANNUAL MEETING: Planned for January 8, 2023 at 3:00 PM at Saline City Hall.

11.    WEB SITE: Saline Sister City, both cities are there.  Jim to contact Don Sheldon to update the Brecon site.

12.    ADJOURN:  MOTION TO ADJOURN: Brian Marl; SECONDED: Harold Tinsey.  Unanimous vote to adjourn at 2:10pm.

Respectively submitted,

Pam Ceo, Secretary
